The Hyperlite Baseline series has evolved with the help of Shaun Murray and Greg Nelson who have joined forces to help beginner wakeboarders learn the ropes on the water. Throughout the series we have seen a huge transformation in one of the best-selling wakeboards of all-time, but the transformation has only begun. Giving riders more of what they want debuts as the 2016 model which is better than ever.

The Hyperlite 2016 Baseline Wakeboard offers the same unique styling package with a couple of adjustments which makes it a very appealing board at first sight. The concerted effort of two professionals have helped create that was intended to improve the riders learning curve and turn them into much better riders. The Baseline does just what was intended as it lays the foundation of not just the rider, but the entire sport.

The Story of Two Professional Riders

Both Shaun Murray and Greg Nelson teamed up to create a board with a very simply philosophy. The story that goes into this board was intended to be less, but gives transitioning riders looking for more, just that. Boasting a very contemporary appearance, smooth ride, and soft landings which ultimately appeals to beginners.

With years of experience, both Shaun and Greg have helped numerous beginners get hooked on a sport. Their passion enabled them to introduce a smooth carving wakeboard that allows riders to focus more on the basics of riding before tackling the wake. Riders appreciate this as they become much better and turn into intermediates almost overnight.

Quality, but Not Superior Quality

The Hyperlite 2016 Baseline Wakeboard is truly a board that takes on the minimalistic approach that screams everything to do with more is less. The minimal design quality is nothing too flashy which appeals to many riders, but not those looking to stand out. The quality that goes into this board is good, but unfortunately isn’t superior in any one area.

Built for beginners which has a great foundation with a wider base than most wakeboards. This gives riders a great deal of control which helps transitioning beginners, but not recommended for professional riders. The continuous rocker which sits underneath it all allows the rider to cut through the water smoother than most which helps generate more speed going into the wake.
