Wakeboarding Locations in the US

Whether you are wakeboarding in the great oudoors on lakes or rivers, or in one of the many cable parks, you'll find some great locations to explore here.

Wakeboarding in the United States has so much to offer for recreational wakeboarders and competitive wakeboarders.  If you are heading off on a summer family vacation or just a weekend away with friends, you’ll find some of the top wakeboarding locations to visit listed here.

An ideal wakeboarding location is one with a large area for water sports with plenty of room for everyone on the water.  Well maintained boat ramps that provide easy access for boats and jet skis are a must.  The layout of some lakes, either man-made or natural, can result in some ‘pockets’ which may be sheltered.  Finding these spots can be great when the breeze picks up and talking to locals is the best way to locate these places.

You can be sure that many of the great wakeboarding locations are commonly known by wakeboarding fans and it can get very busy both out on the water and on the shore.  So when you are out on the water, be courteous to other water craft and also to residents living on the water bodies.  The Water Sports Industry Association (WSIA) has some simple guidelines for safe and courteous boating and a quick quiz to test your knowledge of responsible boating.
